The University of North Carolina Charlotte is embarking on the development of a comprehensive campus master plan. The University has retained the Baltimore firm of Ayers Saint Gross to guide the process. The first phase of the plan is Observations where the design team collects information about the campus. This meeting is intended to gather information about the new mixed use development and CATS plan for Light Rail expansion on campus. The following questions describe the types of information to be discussed during the forum.
1.      What is the evolution/history of the Light Rail expansion project?
2.      What was the process of deciding the route onto campus and the location of the station on campus?
3.      What is the market/ridership expected on the Light Rail expansion? What is the target? Commuter, recreation, etc?
4.      What is the intended purpose and need for the Light Rail expansion?
5.      What is the current status of the light rail expansion project?
6.      What are the alternate locations for the Light Rail line and proposed stop? Pros & cons?
